Please enlighten as to what are the CCA's that the school is strong in? Care to share the CCA's that the schools has?

        - Swimming
        - Badminton
        - Table tennis
        - Athletics
        - Boy Scouts/Girl Guides
        - Wushu ?????

The school does not have swimming and wushu. Not sure about badminton and athletics. In addition to table tennis, it has horse riding, too.

It only has Scouts. No Girl Guides. It has Boys'/Girls' Brigades.

RMPS is strong in Boys' Brigades and Chinese Orchestra.

It also has ELDDS, CLDDS, Maths & Science Club, Library, etc. These are the ones I can remember now. Will check more this Friday and let you know.

Or, perhaps Dino Mummy can advise? :please:

        Hi QMS
You have almost all in except some IT related clubs. The various LDDS had been merged into Library. The Dance club included wushu for the boys. Last year, they \"talent spotted\" some of the kids for various sprots and groups. For eg, the kids played some table tennis in front of the teacher and the teacher will indicate wht they are identifed for this sports. Of course, we can opt out even if the kid is being picked for a particular CCA. My kid opts out from the chinese dance group altho' being picked. Not sure wht the school is doing the same.

I dun tink the kids need to stay back from school. CCA is on every Fri. It is included in their timetable. They have 3 lessons designated for CCA.

Swimming is part of Pri 3 P.E. They had to go thru' swimming for a term, compulsory unless parents object w reasons. This yr, they attended the swimming lessons at the SAFRA Mount Faber. The buses will bring the kids to and fro. So, also no need to stay behind after school.

What I liked abt the CCA was the kids need not stay aft school. I need not plan and arrange for someone to pick the kid. Mine takes school bus home...

            Hi,

Anyone interested in the Discovery Camp that is held during Nov/Dec period? This time they are holding it at Raffles Girls Pri School (main campus) , Catholic High School and Tao Nan.

If there is we can carpool and share the duty..
My girl will be attending Discovery Vacation Camp but we are going to the Tao Nan campus as it's closer to my home.

                    Your kid in P1?

That would mean your DD/DS belong to whatever colour house that is indicated. So you will buy the T-shirt according to the colour. During Sports day, it will be like Green house vs Purple house or Red house vs Yellow house...etc
