I went to the BPP Popular yesterday. They had the Maths books, but not the last 2 books (which are assessment books) and the Music and Civics books. The rates are the same as that on the book list - only thing they will give a 5% discount on the text books and 10% discount on the assessment books. Hubby is telling me to buy everything in the school itself, let me see what I will do. Since I can't buy the MT books here, I'll have an incomplete set till that is done.

      See you on Friday....

I've just bought the books and got the 2GB thumb drive as well...have to make up the purchases....realise the Maths Builder which is priced at 4.95 on the booklist is sold at 5.90 at Popular.....Hubby had started wrapping some of the books and I'm probably gonna do it tomorrow....I think I'm more excited about this than my boy....
Round 2 this friday at the school.... 😉

Hubby queried me yesterday why the thumbdrive can only be 2GB? He said might as well buy one that’s larger in memory since the difference is only few dollars… I just called the school again but spoke to a diff pax this time and she said she will get back to me later.

Do you wrap the books in those transparent thick plastic sheets? How do you get rid of the sharp corners? I've not been in school for so many years so dono what's the 'latest craze' now in wrapping up textbooks 😄

School has replied saying that thumbdrive not necessary to be only 2GB, can be larger. :? Got diff answer each time from diff pax? But she mentioned headphones best to get from school cos' its tried & tested so best to get the same brand. Didn't get to ask what brand they using...

My hubby has advised me to get the IT stuff from the school so that in case she runs into any problems using them, at least her classmates or teachers can help her out since they're using the same kind...

Good idea spitzcookie. I think I'll buy the headphones from the school, but the thumb drive can buy outside. Let me check it at NTU tomorrow and if it's cheaper, I'll let you all know. Are you buying the books from the school or from outside?

we did it the old school way…think i saw ready made one at Popular, not sure about the size though…I don’t know how to get rid of the sharp edges too…

I’m also thinking of getting the headphones from the school as there are too many at other places and not sure which is the right one…
