my DS didn't complaint about the toilet too... probably boy's toilet ok or boy's simply don't care ๐Ÿ˜‰ . If u are aware of which toilet i.e. which level etc. tt your DD complaint about, u can call General Office to feedback about the cleaniness.

As for teachers, yes, i don't think it is a norm for best teachers to teach HA class... simply because they need more challenging students to prove they are the best - hahaha... my DS1 former teacher last yr, was an excellent teacher... but this year, not assigned to HA class anymore.

        Hi all,

thinking of sending our daughter to Greenridge Primary. Is this an academically focus school? Me and my wife trying to avoid a school that stresses the kids and parents to achieve (whose goals?). I know there are different views around this, but if someone can help with the subject matter, itโ€™ll be help us.

Lifelong learning like the mission says.

            Hi,

You can check with GPRS admin when bookshop & uniform opening days and hrs for the holidays. You should also receive a letter frm school telling you which \"house\" your child will be placed (besides the class). This is important to get the correct P.E T-shirts. Do allocate more time as there are usually a long queue.
            Cheers :welcome:

Orientation can easily be after school open i.e. 1st week of the Jan. I'm not sure if it changes now... As for school uniform and textbook, you usually will have a few dates to choose from i.e. late Nov to end Dec. Try not to go for 1st date as that's crazy... choose somewhere in-between, and you can get all you need in one 'shopping'. Do note the shoe is black color so it is quite easy to 'maintain'. ๐Ÿ˜„

hw, I am still awake and scracthing my head what to bring??? I mean what book? :?

He can't carry the big heavy bag, so I think I am gg to juz pack in pencil box, colour pencil, pupil profile, social text, chinese 1a only.

                Is this enuf? Hmmm..

How come the school never inform us what to bring during the p1 orientation? Or they expect us to ask the teacher, coz that day the teacher is so busy talking to so many parents, so I din have chance to ask leh...

                  Hi Fujiringo,

Hope your kiddo had a good time 1st day of school. Rest assured they are well taken care of, with buddies from P3. Just check the communication book (if they have) on what to bring next. With the time table, you can help to pack his bag. I personally doubt there is any need for much packing as basically, every day sure got EL, Math, MT. If you need to, u can access the GRPS website to find out the email addr of the form teacher. This way, you can write to him/her an email for any question you may have.

My DS2 is in charged of taking care new kiddo and I'm very touched and surprised that he can take care of his buddy in P1.

                      Hi,

Need help here! We got our son a place in GRPS this year but didn't realize that there is no bus to Jurong West where grandparents live until the orientation date. Very disappointed as many good schools would have many bus route to cater for working parents' needs. ๐Ÿ˜ข

If anyone heard of private bus or carpool from Jurong West to GRPS, please let me know.

                      Thank you...

My understanding is that the school tie to one school bus provider JK59 i.e. 2 years back... not sure if still the same. If you confirmed JK59 doesn't provide that route, then you can ask GO whether they got other contacts. I personally doubt so, but worth asking.

Just be prepared you are on your own as school bus provider nowadays very high-ended...
