Hi, if you all managed to find any alternative transport can you also let me know. I'm at toh yi and the pick up time is also at 6.10am. It's only like 10mins drive away but my girl have to wake up at 5.30am everyday.
I totally agree with you. We are over at CCK area and the pick up time is 6.05 am. If we can arrange for alternative transport which does not require our children to wake up that early and to be in school that early will be great.lovemyson:
Hi parents,
I'm not sure if anyone here lives at Bukit Batok area (Hillview Avenue) and find that the school bus service pick up time it's too early. I.E. 610am when the new single session starts at 745am (assembly at 730am). I'm looking for alternative transport for my son, such as vanpool, private bus or carpool. Partly because of my new work timing and new single session timing, I'm unable to send him. Thank You. -
Hi,
Also wanna check if anyone of you staying at clementi & kid taking school bus, what time is the pick up time in morning and roughly what time does your child reach home in the afternoon.
Thanks -

Hi Parents,
I am back with the latest release of 2014 PSLE results. Here is the Google Doc Link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Z6jwmk0Jc6BxAA9gcB3Tm9EZLF8AklPcCB2Taz-DogQ/edit?usp=sharing
In all, i think the PSLE results (A and A*) for Henry Park has continued to slide. Maths has dropped 10% to a very low 56.7% compared to 63% in 2013. HPPS in 2011 has over 68% ! I think the golden years have ended.
A side note is that in our LTP from the school, it was mentioned:
\"Our pupils did well in the PSLE 2014. There was an overall increase in the number of top students. In all the subjects, we have continued to do well (compared with National results and Comparable schools). \"
Assuming both the numbers and LTP comment are accurate, then I could only speculate:
- The top students in HPPS are really good, meaning the bulk of the rest are really just scoring Bs and below.
- Comparable schools also decline as badly as HPPS. Not sure who is HPPS compared to, nowadays given the bad percentages.
I am so worried now, gotta get my kids to rely less on the school but more on ourselves. -

How about going home? What time do your kids reach home?
On normal days, he is home by 2pm. On Wednesday, he is home at about 2.30 pm. -
pellias:
For 2010, National Avg for Maths (A/A*) = 43.3%, HPPS (A/A*) = 65.9%
- The top students in HPPS are really good, meaning the bulk of the rest are really just scoring Bs and below.
- Comparable schools also decline as badly as HPPS. Not sure who is HPPS compared to, nowadays given the bad percentages.
For 2014, National Avg for Maths (A/A*) = 44.7%, HPPS (A/A*) = 56.7%
The national average for maths in Singapore actually improved over the past few years. At 56.7%, means that close to half of HPPS scored B and below for maths. If according to P, the top students (geppers?) are doing well, then yes, the bulk of the rest (mainstream?) need to work harder. -

Hi
I am currently staying overseas with the intention of returning within 1-2 years. We are currently sourcing for schools for my daughter who is supposed to be in P2. Would like to find out how’s the school environment like? Is it very academic? Are school teachers accommodating and helpful towards students? Any other feedback is kindly appreciated. Thank you.
