Just a very generalised observation…do girls tend to do better in NYPS in lower primary? And boys catch up much later?

Thanks to all who have replied me. I got my info from one teacher. From the way I see, seems that different teacher says different thing which means THEY will NOT tell. As for top 4 HA class, it's zig zag streaming. This, I am sure cos the school did e same for other levels n GEP, Masta classes. It's more scary cos competition is more \" close\", as close as full marks for whole class.

I see the same thing as you different teacher says different thing. I don't know who to listen sometime. They will NOT tell you the real things especially relating to results.

I am starting to feel stress putting my DD in this school.


Too emphasize on academic, even though she has done well overall 95% and yet I feel the teacher expect her to do better after talking to her teacher.

P1 only already so stressful.

My DD P1 class Top 5, 3 are boys.

From what I heard from DD, there also seems more boys in the top 5 in her class. Am quite surprised, but I will see for myself tomorrow.

Could it be just that it's the teacher in this class? Earlier in the year, I was a bit KPO and went to read some other classes' blog. I must say certain teachers gave me the impression that they are very result-orientated. It is the way they talked about how the class did for this test or that test. I even remember one commenting that how many out of how many got full marks in class for a particular test in term 1... :roll: With such teachers, if your child didn't get full marks, how not to be stressed?

Fortunately my DD's class isn't like that.

These days, I am quite switched off, don't even go to the blog for months at times.
