phtthp:
your guess is as good as minehow many top classes are there in Nanyang ?
do they fix these class names, or every year change ?
it is not fixed in number or label
one year could be A or B or simply jumbled about.....
the objective is not to be fixated on it
usually the last 4 are GEP classes -
P4 onwards usually have 4 GE classes, 2 META classes and 3 to 4 HA classes…

For those who just miss the GEP i.e. the 2 - 5% based on GEP test results. The names are provided by MOE. -

Acc to the Principal, Mrs Lee, the META classes comprise of kids who are the 1.5 (not 2%)-5% based on GEP test. GEP classes comprise of kids who are the top 1.5%. She said that META kids could be the top 1.51,1.52, etc up to 5.0%. The kids in META class are considered as High Ability based on the GEP tests, so they are not necessarily 'better' than the High Achiever classes since only Eng, Math and GA are tested. However, it is noted that majority of the top kids fm P3 High Achiever classes (minus the 30+ who went to GEP) are in the META classes, and the rest mostly in 4A (High Achiever class).Puzz...zzle:

I wish to enroll my kids in Nanyang Primary. I use to attend Nanyang primary many years ago. But having graduated many years ago, I wonder what has changed...
1. Can anyone tell me what the teacher to student ratio is in Nanyang Primary now? Rough figures say from primary 1 to primary 6?
2. How receptive is the school to parents feedback and involvement? And how often do you get to meet the teacher to discuss the progress of your child at school?
3. Is there an open day that we can visit the school?

2. email the principal and teachers anytime, or sms, or call. There are regular meet-the-parent sessions to discuss the progress, and outside the designated meeting schedules, you can email anytime. Can join the PTA too.
3. not sure
