Thank you so much for all the advise.

For me, I let DD to decide if she wants to opt in/out for the test, most important not to force her if she is not keen. I know she will feel the pressure in order to do well even though is a stress free test. I know one of my friend child; she is selected to join GEP, in the end she dropped off from the GEP class as she cannot cope.

I was not keen to let my DD sit for this test, is just that I heard Nanyang was ‘opt in’ for the test, But my friend told me is not compulsory, as she has opt out for her child (not from Nanyang) to sit the test, so I am confuse whether is it compulsory to certain school??

Nowadays, kids are so stressful from school, parents. Exam… tests… PSLE… (Did I miss out any?) I believe is all depend on the child expectation he/she has set for themselves at the end only the top 1% is selected to join the GEP Class.

Come next year, who knows she may be keen to go for the test especially when her friends will be taking the test, too. 😉

I let her to decide next year. For certain things, I encourage her to make her own decision after discussing with me, so far she is coping well.

          😄

Most days (without assembly) start at 730 and ends around 130-145pm.

The available after school enrichment courses changes year to year, esp when P1 for next year is at Toh Tuck. Children will be given a list at the orientation week, sometime in Nov. Look out for it.
