I received my son’s time table today. Confirmed 4days PE. I checked with other school, they are shocked that NYPS is having 4 to 5 days PE per week and what had happened to the school. Which means the pupils in the school no need to wear school iniform and just PE attire will do.

Hi Mum of 3, do you know if there is a quota/limit for p2a1 and p2a2? I heard its very competitive and not confirm can get in... still worrymummy of 3:
No need to join the club.
Just enrol in P2A2, can already.
1% is bcoz if like CHS last year will be very scary. -
Did anyone subscribe to the Math +Venture last year? Is it good? Looking at the sample issue (or is it the first issue?), it actually doesn’t look too interesting to me.

Not sure if it is true, but one of the 4 periods of PE would be health education class. Supposedly no need to wear PE attire for that lesson. Maybe could get your son to check with his teacher? For us, we have been on PE attire the whole of this week... while the top is collecting dust. -

The only limit is the number of vacancies available during that phase.

NYPS has the largest intake of all primary schools, so there are plenty of places.
Don't worry about it...p2a1 and p2a2 are as good as guaranteed a place. -

Take a look at the circular on increase of PE lessons… One of the 4 days doesn’t need PE attire…

wow! you really know her background well! :lol:used to teach chinese, and PE. she still on the committee on pri sch chinese exam / text book stuff, and also she is Chairman, Singapore Primary Schools Sports Council
the MOE increase in PE hours by half an hour need not be translated into more periods
Actually, why can't they combine two periods of PE on the same day? Was this how it was done before? That way, 4 periods of PE would mean wearing PE attire on 2 out of 5 days, right?
Anyway, does anyone know why all students have to be in school by 7.10-7.15am when school officially starts at 7.30am?
The lady giving the parent talk at the school the other day was just saying that kids in Singapore wake up too early, against the biological clock.... -
so what does the environment monitor do - sweep floor?
