My DD came home with much excitement at school yesterday. Can see that she is enjoying herself with her new friends.

This morning sent her to the school gate and she walked in by herself. I believed she will be well taken care by the school once she stepped into the school gate and I drove off with much relieved.

      Cheers!

Had a pleasant experience this morning !

Everything was so well-organized and I dun see any chaos at all, with all the new p1s..
The prefects were very polite and helpful. The mommet I stepped I into foyer, I was greeted by a prefect ( upper pri I suppose) dd wanted to go to the washroom before proceeding to the hall, so the girl lead her to the washroom and thereafter to the hall. Dd felt very welcomed and can't wait to say bye to her dear mommy πŸ˜‰
The teachers were patience with the new girls as well.
                Kudos to them!
Mommy left for work with a peace of mind πŸ˜‰
                Hi Allanice!
I had a really good 1st day experience too. My girl is also in P1 Kindness. What's your girl's name? Mine is Scarlett πŸ™‚
I was so apprehensive initially, but its been 3 days and every day she hops off the bus smiling. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to balance her meals. Right now she's having breakfast at 6.45am. At recess she only eats half of what I've prepared for her, so she ends up eating the other half on the bus on the way home as she's famished, and when she arrives home at 2pm, she doesn't want any lunch! Dinner is now 5.30pm so that she can go to bed at 7pm.

How do you other mummies manage the after-school hunger? Especially if your girls have a long bus ride?

                    you can try popular,
Communication with the class teacher can be done thru the diary, there is a column for Parent/teacher comm. can write a small note and ask your daughter to show it to her teacher. teachers' emails can be found in the SMPS web-site under teachers.

About the meal timings, maybe she needs some time to adjust to the schedule. Can consider what plum-cake shared.
