      Hi xjysg,

      Pt noted n taken 🆒

Which level ur child in? Class blog for my boy's P1 class started mid of last yr. For P2, started early this wk. Very useful cos FT will update homework list (in addition to child writing in diary) by end of sch hours. So easy for FTWM like me to check even b4 I got home & instruct accordingly. Also, sometimes for kids in P1/P2 very careless, may miss out certain homework details. Besides homework, for last yr, FT also update photos of class activities, announcement etc.

Perhaps ur child in upper primary...more independent, so no need class blog?

      GKMum,
are SVPS member? If ur are, u might try to send query/parent's opinion etc via the yahoo grp emails once u are added to the grp by administrator. Parents more active there than in this forum thread.

        Hi oneheart,

No I’m not a SVPS member.
        How to join?

I have received a form from school to request for our email. I think it’s for the blog to be set up.

            Hi Oneheart,

My boy's in P3. He just came back with 2 bloglinks. Apparently there is this year 😄 ! Maybe it's a direction that school is telling the teachers to do. What class is your kid in in P2?

GKMum, if you are in SVPA, they'll collate the parents' contact within class and give you - ie you'll have/know the parents that are in your son's class. Also, there are workshops that are conducted for parents, one of which is a coffee session with the Principal ... helpful for lost souls like me.

              Hi,

Thanks for the info. Do we have Alot if activities as a svpa? Was worried if I cannot do much help due to work and 3 kids to attend.
Sigh, I think need to resign already.

South View is a good school. My student gave the school thumbs up! However their exams papers are hard, need to work harder to achieve. By the way, any parents can share P6 Maths papers for south view primary school (2010-2012)? My student will be P6 next year. Thanks in advance!

hi i m formerly south view student i m born in 1979 my gals are in pri 5 born in 2002. the teachers in south view are very hard working n responsible for i feel most of the week there is always extra classes. i have enrolled my kids at blk 217 champs network so that there is someone to coach n supervise their homework. which sometimes i also cant figure out or solve the questions…should have study harder last time lol… most of the teachers who had taught me are still teaching in the school. i have previously talked to the principal Mrs Jenny Yeo. She is really a very understanding principal and would try her very best to help you n your child . initially my kid has pressure from her school and needs counselling , i wanted to transfer her to another school so she would not be crying everyday… However Mrs Yeo transfered her to another class to be with her sister and allowed her to complete her homework with a longer period or extra time to hand in. We are given special permission to stay in the school for a week to let her adjust to sch. Mr Naza was her form teacher, he really helped to transform a sad gal to a happy gal Mr Chua was her chinese teacher also encourage her too with the counselor staff.i am grateful to them and south view pri i would definitely recommend.in pri one Mrs anuwar a very nice teacher in pri 4 ms teng i wanted to put my kids in foundation maths yet ms teng keeps advise mi to ask them work hard n drop my idea of foundation n my kids are taking standard maths this year. with mrs yeo and her team i believe ur kid can be a dazzling diamond as long as u dun give up
