Hi, my son will be registering for P1 this July. Can anyone pls advise what is the chance of getting into Nan Hua under Phase 2C? We live within 1km, however base on the previous statics the chance looks slim.

With the new policy of priority to SC, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Can anyone pls share your experience.

        Gladly appreciate.

Personally my boy grew up to become a good understanding child. The Chinese teaching make him a understanding son. He used to be self centered but now he cares for the olders and the youngers.

He starts to read a lot too. But mostly English books though.

Yes, there are lots of homework now that he is in upper primary. He is very positive, he find them a challenge.

I remember when he is in pri1-2, works are still manageable.

The teachers, to me, are kind. They helped to see the character in my boy and push him to excel.

                Hope it helps!!

                    Hi

I am a parent of P1 kids this year. One of them took chess and involves extra fees as it is run by 3rd parties. Same goes for other CCA like badminton, table-tennis etc which all require extra fees.

It is common for parents to co-pay or pay these fees to get the experts to train/coach the students now. The teachers are not the experts thus experts are hired. The school does not have all the funds for all these CCAs. I have seen schools with limited CCAs. The better schools are offering a variety of CCAs but parents co-pay or pay. If we leave it to the schools to fund all the CCAs, then schools will have limited CCAs and our kids will not get the exposure.

For example, my girl (from another school) will never get to learn handbells if parents do not co-pay. I am told some of the bells cost more than $10,000 each. So far, I co-pay the instructor's fee but not the bells.

My son in nanhua is in two CCAs. I pay for both. He is also in development team training which the school pays.

Hi all! My kid will be in NH P1 next year. So excited abt it! 🙂

Any advice or tips on what to prepare or look out for from hereon?

I'm also a NH old girl. Anyone from class of '91?

Btw someone mentioned Chinese Dance CCA is only via invitation. What are the criteria they look at for invitation?

                        TIA! 🙂
