Believe most of you shd have received the updates by now. Summarise the main point is that the upgrading works is scheduled to start in mid 2010 and they are working closelyw ith MOE to ensure the devt works will be completed as scheduled.

Really must pray hard that the works can REALLY complete on schedule..current holding site is not a conducive environment..cant wait to go back to the old school.. 🙏

Tot it’s better to start as early as possible to allow leeway for delay. Actually dunno if they can complete in 1 yr ? may be the construction sector is too overloaded with the projects in marina sands; so must wait…

                Hi wen22,

KSH provides opportunities for students (fr P1) to develop their leadership skills by appointing various \"positions\" eg class monitors + monitresses, subject leaders, group leaders, PE monitors, AVA monitors, etc. As it is a SAP sch, it teaches the kids chinese values and name all classes like respect, filial piety, etc. Also organised food donation drives yearly to encourage students to donate canned food or dry good. Last yr, my DD1 together with other brownies distributed the food stuff to Dakota crescent needy/ elderly.

Most teachers are friendly + approachable, h/p no + email given to all parents and promptly answered (almost immediately) - fr personal experience. DD2's chinese teacher(P1) even bought 30 notebooks fr china (out of her own pocket) for the entire class to encourage them to write diary every day - she then awards stickers for each entry. The kids all write diligently and bring to sch abt once a wk to collect stickers - it's a great way to improve their chinese.

                For ur consideration. 😄

only selected parents are required to go for the MTP on 27 May, so is school still as per normal for the children?

No school that day. School holiday starts a day earlier for the students. Enjoy …

Will the school still locate in Guillemard road? Hope it wont change in the next couple of years, as we start to think of buying house nearby now…

Wen22, any queries are welcomed. Since they’re renovating the old site at Guillemard Rd (just received note fr principal that work will only start mid this yr) ; they should shift back in 2012. ur kid will be so lucky to enjoy the new sch compound - DD2 (P1) was looking forward to the increased no. of food stalls in new canteen !
