      ningy:

Her FT also told everyone his/her position in the class and whole level though it's not recorded in the report book.
so if the kid didn't tell the parents, the parents wld not know?

Hi BlurBee, my DD2 also one of the prize receipents! Need to report to school by 8.15 am; FT will give an invitation to your DD.

Windows, my DD1 in P6 this year; throughout her 6 years in KHS, only 1 yr her FT informed the class about everyone's position in class. So I guess it depends on FT.

thanks! btw, for those who have attended prize-giving b4, how’s the programme like? is it because of the temp site that’s why only one parent is invited? or this is always the case?

Thanks BlurBee, forgot to :congrats: to your DD and family.

Yes, Windows, all along only 1 parent will be invited to the prize giving ceremony 'cos there'll be a mini-buffet so sch has to budget. Btw there'll be a concert too - usually consists of a show case of their SYF award winning performances eg choir, chinese orchestra, gu zheng and chinese dance; sometimes wu shu too! Superb performances 'cos they are usually silver/gold or even gold with honours.

Actually all our DDs and DSs deserved some celebration as they have survived their P1 and so fast, they'll be moving on to P2.

thanks ningy! you seem like an experienced attendee for the prize-giving ceremony. Your DD1 must have done very well every year :rahrah:

                must share your tips

you're right, our kids deserve a good pat on their shoulder. still remember one yr ago we were all so gan cheoong about them attending \"big school\", and now they all survived the first year...time flies...

being a ksp, may i know when wld we be receiving the booklist and all? they will only know their timetable and teachers on their first day next yr?

Windows, my DD2’s chinese teacher will be teaching them in P2; already gave them 4 pieces of paper to write weekly diary to be handed in one 1st day of school! Her English/math teacher will not be teaching them in P2 so will only know who’s her FT next yr.

If you read the PSLE thread, it appears that KHS's standard/performance had dropped this year..this is a worrying sign. :nailbite:
