Other schools like Tao Nan put up the PSLE slides (presented to the P6 students and parents on PSLE results day) in their school website so parents of existing students know how the school perform. But KSH has not updated the website for quite a while already, sigh !

This yr's P6 results seemed ok 'cos the highest score in S'pore is 282 (only 1 person has >280) - ie. generally this yr's scores are \"lower\" ie. top students only scoring in the range of 27x unlike last yr's high scores. In general, KSH's strongest subject seems to be Math and if the Math paper is easy (like this yr); then our top scorers are affected. Last yr's Math paper is super difficult and so we had very high PSLE scores. I personally think KSH need to improve the English std of the students.

I'm so happy that KSH has 100% PSLE passes. :celebrate: Hopefully Mr Ong will announce this good news on the first day of school.

anyone knows what is the highest score that KHS pupil score for PSLE?
        cascada:
        274
        274 x 1 student
        271 x 1 student
        267 x 1 student

          Hi

Can anyone advise what is the latest time that the morning students need to be in school & will they shut out the latecomers or punish them?

I understand from my friend that their pick up from Telok Kurau will be 6.30am.

          Thanks!

            all from P6-3 (2010).

In 2009 they had 10 students scored 270 and above. At least another 20 scored 260 and above. 100% pass is a \"basic\" requirement for KHS. The big blow is those who can go Express dropped from 84% to 80%. This is one of the key indicators to measure school performance. I don't think Mr ONG is happy with this year performance.

From http://www.konghwa.moe.edu.sg/wbn/slot/u1427/Publication/2010_Parentlink_Vol%201.pdf, only 8 students (from P6 Humility) scored 270 and above.Which class/classes did the other 2 students come from?

              PSLE T-Score for 250 and above decreased from 20.7% (2009) to 18.1% (2010).

Yes Vallina cake. You are right only 8 students scored 270 and above in 2009. I didn't remember correctly. My mistake

                    ycpang,

I guess the T-score of 2010 PSLE top scorers are lower nation wide; so it’s not fair to compare KSH’s top scorers with last year’s.

This year, only the top S’pore scorer is above 280; the rest are 279 and below. Even among the S’pore top 15 scorers, quite a few are 276. So if you compare that with KHS’s top scorer which is 274; it’s not too bad. As someone else has mentioned, this year’s papers are easy so it’s more difficult to score high marks (Standared Deviation will be less) and not easy to separate the "diamonds" from the rest of the cohort. That’s why this year it’s not easy to get a T-score above 270 unlike last year - "unfair" for 2010 KHS top students when people normally just compare the T-scores between different years.

Heard from DD1’s classmate that 20 over students from P6/3 get into Dunman High (cop 257). Not many from P 6/3 wanted to go to other top schools like HCI, NYGH and RGS even when they can get in.

Accordingly to my cousin (2010 KHS P6 student), CT means contact time aka staff meeting on every Wednesday and students are dismissed 1/2 hour earlier.
