School reporting time & lessons start time, no change, that is same as present morning session. Sometimes, when my hubby send p5 ds to school & gets there at 7.15-7.20am, no problem. But not sure about next year.
I am surprised they extend school hours by 30mins (1 period) on 3 days, Mon, Wed and Fri. Wonder extra period is for academic subjects or?
And p1 and p2 will have remedial & enrichment classes after school hours on certain day?? Hope this is not the weekly supplementary classes that p3 above are having. -

Anyone knows when they mean enrichment, they are referring to CCA right? As for remedial, i assume is extra lesson for those who need?School reporting time & lessons start time, no change, that is same as present morning session. CCA is CCA
Enrichment is extra lessons or to complete the syllabus
Remedial means for the weaker stdents who need more help.
All three different.
I think its normal to extend lessons till 1 or 1:30pm. Its normal for primary school hours, only because we had PM session previously, so lessons had to end earlier.
I don’t like the idea of recess so late. 10:30-11am for P5/6… -

I went to clarify with some parents before and it seems enrichment refers to CCA BUT for lower primary.CCA is CCA

Recently i received son's badminton payment notice slip and it states Badminton enrichment... -
Ok, I'm confused now :?
And yes, they do have some enrichment for CCAs for lower primary, ie. badminton, table tennis, chess, guzheng and such. And as the children not not required to have CCAs at that level, its considered a form of enrichment, extra for them. And the parents have to pay for these lessons.
Most of the P3-6 will have a day of afternoon stay-back as \"supplementary lesson\", where they will do extra work or try to complete the chapter.
Hope I didn't confuse anyone  -
Thanks Junemum72,
Glad to hear that enrichment classes for lower pri is actually more like CCA. -

I was surprised by the daily additional session. I don't the idea that my ds will be coming home even later for lunch. -
Actually alot of primary schools end at 1:30pm on 3-4 days of the week.
Maybe with this additional 1 hour a week, we will have less supplementary class?
cross fingers wink wink -
Hi,
Does anyone here have the private school bus contacts? -
Anyone signing up the extra Maths/chinese/English enrichment for their kids next yr in KH? Or anyone heard of the centre the school engaged?
Thinking to withdraw the outside enrichments and sign up the school’s for my kid but have not heard of the centres before…
