Think this year is first time in history that phase 2b needs balloting for MBS - 61 kids fighting for 43 places. The earlier phases have seen more places taken up than usual, thus left with less than 100 places for phases 2b & 2c.

At the beginning of phase 2B, I was thinking to myself.... will they be able to manage this year's number so well again like what we saw for the last couple of years. Demand = supply.

Wonder if they are any balloting as with the new ruling priority goes to Spore citizens.

Haha… My Maths fail lah… Yes, 32 outside 2km has to go thru balloting for the 14 places. Those within 2km all got in. My colleague is one of them who has to go thru the balloting.

Looking at the latest statictics, i think your chances very slim. Nonetheless, do give the school a call to check on the 2nd language thingy.

Maha Bodhi only offer Chinese as 2nd language. No Tamil nor Hindi.

but you need to check distance range from your home to the respective school, ie.
is it < 1km, between 1 to 2 km, or > 2km ?
call up MOE helpline customer service help you check.

i am new here. My son is also entering MBS in 2013. I managed to get him enrolled under 2A1. I note that some mummies are also old girl/old boy here. Hi Councillor and Wolfgirl! which year are you guys from? Anyone else joining us in 2013 too?
