I am new to this school’s forum. Would like to check for P2 in Maha Bodhi, will any class considered as "top" class or the class allocation only start in P3 based on P2 acdemic result achieved? Need it urgently. Pls advice if any body knows
Thank you very much -
If I remember correctly, the P mentioned that P1 to P2 is en bloc migration.

Dear Parents,
I am concerned & upset about what's happening at the canteen these few wks.
1) Recess time is not staggered for Pri 1 & my child feedbacked that most stalls are very long Q. She is worried by the time she bought her food, she will not have time to eat. She is a fast eater, yet her FT is stressing them & telling them to hurry when eating. Juz imagine, all 11 classes come out at the same time...what kind of crowd will it be? I have emailed to school 3 days ago but till now nobody responded.
2) The attitude of the stall owners from stall no. 3 (noodle stall) & 7 (drink stall) is very horrible. I was informed that the aunties from these 2 stalls yelled & shouted at pupils, asking them to hurry while they pay up the money. Can't they be more patient towards these Pri 1 pupils? For my child, she knows how to count money. But when auntie yelled at her, she started to panic & ended up slower in counting the coins.
My child even told me that she does not wish to buy any item from these 2 stalls anymore as the aunties scold them almost everyday.
I never expect the Pri 1 pupils to be treated as Prince or Princess! I am merely displeased with the impatient stall owners. Did any of your Pri 1 children encounter the same problem? If so, I hope more parents will feedback to school so that hopefully the attitude of those stall owners will improve.
Thank you. -

Hi Stephie81,
So far I have not seen any letters pertaining to enrichment classes for Pri 1. -

Oh dear! If you are worried, perhaps make a personal trip to the office and alert the P about the stall owners. If not, speak to your kid's form teacher.Dear Parents,

As for recess, I am pretty shocked when my son told me that there wasn't any buddy system in place at all. :scratchhead: But lucky, he managed to buy food he likes and so far no problem. -
Not sure about buddy system but my impression from last year was parent volunteers were there to help out for the 1st few weeks? Eg. stand infront of each stall and help the kids to count and also with those hot soupy stuff, etc…
So far my P2 didn’t complain anything about the stall holder or even timing of recess, etc… when she was P1. My P6 commented to us one particular stall holder don’t accept $10. So she was stressing dh to give her smaller change. We’ve switch them to weekly allowance since P4. As usual, there are some stallholders the kids don’t particularly like but they sort of get used to it.
For recess timing, I suppose it’s really difficult to stagger the timing. It’s already staggered by levels. If they were to do it, by the time the P1 finished staggered timing, the P2 will probably be very hungry?
Don’t worry, let it be a learning exposure for the kids to learn to manage.
But if you are deeply concerned, try to email the FT about it. -

The parent volunteers were at the canteen from 2 Jan to 11 Jan only. My child has no problem in buying food during recess from 14 to 18 Jan as she bought from the vegetarian stall. According to her, the other stalls are too long Q. She already saw some of her classmates scolded by stall 3 & 7 for the past 2 wks. Yesterday she went to stall 7 to buy drinks and she encountered it herself.
I'm not being pampering my child. Being a caring school, I expect teaching and non-teaching staff to be caring and show some respect towards each other. Shouldn't they be more patient and tell the pupils nicely instead of yelling & shouting at them?
Staggered recess time as in 5 classes out for recess 1st then the next 6 classes out after that. It wont take long, only 1 hour. -

My elder child in P5 so far also no complains from her. Since P1 till now she didn't complain anything abt the canteen and stall owners. But this does not imply that the problem is not there. When I told my P5 abt her younger sibling's encounter last night, they she agreed and told me that the drink stall auntie is very nasty and always scold pple. My P5 even told me that the drinks stall auntie is very unhygienic. She & her classmates witness the auntie dropped the ice in the coin container and picked up the the ice and reuse. :yikes:
