hi, anyone can comment on this school?

my girl is in P2 this year. I felt the school is so far so good. I had compared her P1 exam paper with those top school. In my view, the paper set is pretty average, not very difficult as compared to top school. Not sure if this is a good or bad. Met her form teacher and does give me a feeling of old school. A very strict teacher but I like it as can control the class.


Anyone know how the P2 streaming work for Xinming?

Hi, do they have alot of homeworks in P1?
Are the teachers friendly and willing to teach? Or those that only favours good students?

Hi, P1 not much homework. The school set a target with max hours per week that teacher can give for three subjects. They don’t have homework every day.


Teacher wise only interact with her English and Chinese teachers. Not sure of other P1 teachers. So far so good. My girl can catch the concept. As fOr favoritism, not sure. My girl did not tell me.

Im still thinking if I should register my girl for xinmin pri this year.There is no affliation to secondary school.
My hubby studied in this pri school as well, but thought of letting my girl go Holy Innocent/PLMGS which requires balloting.

Hi, i will be registering my gal for P1 next month. But still not sure if i should go for XM or Hougang Pri, both are within 1 km from my house. While my husband was an old boy from Xinmin, i am not sure if i should go for the easy way out to enrol my gal under phase 2A2, or go for a gamble to try Hougang Primary, which i heard is a better school? Any comments is welcome, thank you!


Also, i had called the school yesterday, they are going single session in 2015, it is confirmed in MOE website too. Maybe this is a good news for some of the parents?

Hi I have called up the sch and they confirmed its single session next year.
