wow starlight, your dd is independent. can return by herself. how long is the travelling time by public transport?

i will be registering my ds this coming p1 registration. very worried about the transport issue due to the distance (am staying at Hillview area - The Petals). i tot of registering ds in rulang first in phase 2A and put ds in waiting list with Princess Elizabeth for logistic reason. i can’t take the stress of been ballot out in Princess E in phase 2C.

There IS a school bus service from Rulang to BB. We used to see a mini van picking up some kids in my neighbourhood (am living near Yusof Ishak Sec Sch).
From Rulang to my home in BB, it should be less than 45 min inclusive of waiting times at Lakeside, Jurong East and then the buses.

I thought if you can register in phase 2A, this means you sure can get into Rulang πŸ˜‰

Hi, my son is new to Rulang. I’m thinking of asking for a day leave on next Wednesday as we will be traveling back to Malaysia. Anyone has experience asking for leave in Rualng? What is their policy? Would they accept such reasons? Thanks in advance.

Inform the form teacher about your request. Am sure he/she is understanding enough.

              Hi Metta,

Just write a letter to your son's form teacher to excuse him on Wednesday. I did that since he was in P1-P3 as we travel out on CNY. Only this year, we'll come back in time for school. πŸ™‚

              Enjoy your trip!

                    Hi,

I am staying at Bukit Gombak. My dd is in P4 and ds in P2 this year. One in am and one in pm session.

They have been taking school bus to Rulang. School bus fees per child is $90 (return). We paid additional $35 for picking up during CCA days.

They are usually the last few to board the bus and first few to alight.

Hi Rulang parents, anyone staying at Bukit Batok area? Like to hear your experience about sending your child to the school that is not nearby.

I live in BB and dd studied in Rulang (she graduated last year and now in sec 1).
In the morning, dh will send her to school. If he is overseas, we will take mrt (BB to JE and then Lakeside).
She returned (via mrt and then bus 106 or 77) herself from p4 onwards.
She attended studentcare centre from p1 to p3.

                      Hi,

Yes he can join CCa at P1 and P2. It does not have the whole list of CCA that they can choose from like the P3s and above, very limited. They called it enrichment and it is chargeable. I believe the list should be out by now. Can check with the form teacher or general office:)

Any Rulang parents pls enlight me. My boy is in P1 now, and i was told that he will only be needed to join cca when he is P3. Question is can he actually join now instead of waiting till P3? Thanks πŸ™‚

                        Hi Starlight & Angelz88

                        Many thanks for your feedback.

Starlight, am former Rulang student, hence can register my ds in phase 2A.

Angelz88, which mean you send your child to the school in the morning? Heard RPS is going to be single session, maybe next year. I may send ds to the school in the morning and back by school bus also. It will be really tiring for ds to wake up early in the morning to catch the school bus. Heard it will reach my place at 6am if in the morning session.

Btw, what time should the kids report at school for the morning session now?
