Thank you, becontented. It is very useful information. So we will mentally prepare for any possibility. ps. I am sure that your daughter can pass PSLE with a good result, as she can quickly adapt to a new environment and perform very well.

Hi, I am staying in Taman Jurong and selling a lot of P5 & P6 used assessment books under the garage sale. They are in very good condition.

seems like Rulang thread is not a active thread? My son going to pri 1 and I am quite lost, wonder if there is any forum like some other schools that parents can post to the school? Received call from the school bus operator and she told me that the pick up point will be at the bus stop. Quite disappointed as it is a distant, crossing the park and canal with no shelter and how can school bus be at the public bus stop? if the school bus is early, how can they wait there and if my son is late for a couple of mins due to unforseen circumstances, then the school bus cannot wait at all? Tried nego with school bus lady but she refused, any parents has the same situation?

happy74, you are ‘lucky’ to receive a call! Till now i haven’t received any call but merely an sms from one driver who informed that another driver will be picking/sending my dd due to some logstistic changes!
I am also disappointed with the school that during orientation children were not informed of what to bring for their first day! I had to call the school to ask! -

Many years ago when my dd studied in Rulang, I dont remember bringing many books on day 1. It would be \"orientation day\". Each p1 kid would have a buddy (kid from upper pri) assigned.happy74, you are 'lucky' to receive a call! My dh found the list of things to bring in the handbook given out.
I don’t have the list now but based on my memory, just to confirm and for the benefit of other Rulang parents:
- all 1A textbooks and workbooks
- name tag worn during orientation
Besides above and stationery, anything else? Thanks!
Also, is there any news if Rulang is undergoing any reno or has plans to shift temporarily? Am wondering how will the school cope with transiting to single session, as it is intended to have all Primary School in Sg to be single session by Year 2015? -

Bring your water-bottle and bread/biscuits/snacks to avoid the crowd at the canteen during the first few days of school. -
Thanks for the replies parents. School told me no formal lesson on the first two days so just bring own story books, stationery and color pencil. Time table will be given out latest by the 2nd week.
Are parents allowed into the canteen during recess time?
