Help help parents! I need to attend a wedding in may and my DD have to take leave on 21 and 24 may , if we go. Any idea if it is very important to attend school after exams. Would it be ok if she dont go school for these two days since will be back in school before the june holiday starts? :?:
Hi shu,
Maybe discuss with the form teacher? Usually during the last week of term 2, it is discussing the papers, doing corrections etc and then get the report book. -
oh ya! thanks i already checked with her and she agreed

Hi all,
Please recommend which BASC do you send your kids to.
Thank you in advance -

I find that the staff tends to send the kids (pm session) quite early to the school (eg around 11.40am) and hence their duty is off.
There are a few BASC around the school.
One BASC (maybe near Shuqun) sends the kids around 12.15pm. -

11.40... so what do they do at the school with so much time on hand?
Besides being sent early, the overall care, guiding and environment is good?
Do you mind telling me which center is your DD attending now? The one opposite Shuqun?
TIA -

Once the kids are in the school, they do their own things. My \"complain\" is: breakfast around 8am and lunch at 11am. How to digest the food?

The overall care, guiding and environment is above average in Pro Teach. It has many branches in Spore.
My girl attended Pro Teach.
BASC is good for lower primary. Once kids reach upper primary (in morning session), they stay in the school about thrice a week. When these supp lessons or activities are over, it is almost 5pm and about time to go home. -

Thanks for the input. I can already imagine my DD running around and all sweaty before school :slapshead:
Ya.. 3 hour quite short.. unless the breakfast is really light... :idea:starlight1968sg:
I would appreciate it very much if you could give me more details on other good options eg. the one you mentioned near Shuqun. Is it the one below block 514? :?:BASE is good for lower primary. By upper primary, I will still have to worry where my DD will go to after school on those days when she has no CCA, if without BASC... -
RRMummy,
Do you pick up your kid at the side-gate? After the side-gate, there is a little lane across to the next hdb block. I GUESS that BASC which brings kids to Rulang at around 12.15pm is there. I am unsure the quality but I have seen a lot of Rulang students walking to the school with the BASC staff as many as 3. You can imagine the line of kids is quite long.
In addition, it is sheltered all the way to the school. You can go there to find out.
For Pro Teach, kids have to use the traffic light to cross the road. Though with 2 BASC staff, they are exposed to rain or shine.
Yes, esp little boys, once they reach the school, they head straight to the field or somewhere to play.
When kids are in the upper primary, you have to start training them to be independent. I think BASC has many lower primary kids but when comes to upper primary, there are not many as lower primary. -
:thankyou: Starlight!! You have been extremely helpful.
My DD is going to P1 next year, so I'm planning for all these arrangements before the places are all choped..
That was also my consideration on the rain and shine part. I called them sometime last month. The supervisor told me that they will normally use the front gate as at the timing that they send the kids over, the gate is still locked.. I will go check-out that center in person.
My DD1's character is like a boy.. she will choose running play for sure...
We'll have to gauge her maturity when the time comes.. for now I think we'll worry about P1 registration and coping with the changes in the coming year..
:celebrate:
