:!: It was really really hot yesterday.. poor kiddos..ttyh:
Ya...I was stuck at Jurong west road junction for 20mins...late for my meeting with client
Heh, the poor kids stood under the hot sun for about an hour! A real test in stamina for the kids.
:x
..if it were my DD2 she would be complaining already.. my lil one cannot tahan the sun.. just a few minute only she said she is melting. She said she is made of candle and will not melt only if she is eating ice-cream or drinking cold water when under the sun... -
Prelim starts! Parents complained after the papers, supp lessons still continue till around 5pm+.

Hello,
My daughter will be Pri 1 in Jan 11. Been reading this thread so as to understand better what to prep for my daughter.
I am also thinking of BASC around Rulang...either the one at Blk 514 or the one at Blk 519.
Anyway, just some questions... say if i get her into the BASC, i can drop her in the morning and the BASC will bring her to school (pm session), right? What happens after school in the evening? Will the BASC staff pick them back to BASC? Or the students will go home straight after pm school? If so, do the students carry the shower/clothes bag to school?
...just trying to figure out how life goes on for such arrangement.
thanks! -

Since p1 & p2 will be in the afternoon session, you drop your child at BASC in the morning (from 7am onwards). The kid will have her breakfast and early lunch before walking to school. After school (ie 6.30pm+), you go straight to the school to pick her up.Anyway, just some questions... say if i get her into the BASC, i can drop her in the morning and the BASC will bring her to school (pm session), right? It is quite inconvenient to take showers in BASC before school. Where to hang the moist bath towel,...? -
Thanks, Starlight1968sg.
Yes, i would think so too… thought the kids will just pack their wet towels and clothes in another bag…but that would mean 2 bags for the kid. 1 for pri school books, 1 for clothes/towels/shower stuff.
does that mean that the kids don’t shower before going to school then? -

Yes, this is the case for my dd. Initially, we would like her to take shower in BASC before going to school. Soon, we realised the hassle (bring sch uniform, towel, bathfoam, extra waterproof bag etc) and decided to forget about it.Thanks, Starlight1968sg.

My gal will also be in P1 there next year.
After school (PM), parents have to go pickup the children directly from school. I'm still deciding on whether to let my DD shower at the BASC. I figured that if she does then I'll talk to the BASC that she be allowed to leave her wet towel and clothes there. I'll go pick it up in the evenings after fetching her from school.. not sure if they will object.. -

I just figured like in their CCC now, just put into plastic bag will do.. but wet clothes heavy to lug around especially along with the big school bag of books.
BTW, do they leave books in lockers in the school? -
I know that parents can leave all the shower gel and shampoo in the Center so that kids do not need to carry that around.

The BASC my dd attended is quite sticky on things being put in the lockers; strictly no moist items because they are made of wood. You may clarify from your BASC.
