Can see the cushioned back and strap? My kids feel comfortable carrying their bags and they are still in good shape after 3 yrs (timberland) and 1 yr (transformers). πŸ˜‰ I highly recommend 'lap top' bag.

Thanks for the pix. Looks good... will bring DD there to check it out.. IMM branch right? πŸ˜‰

But next yr will be tough. All the cream crops in 3H.
I attended the 80th speech day this morning.
I guess this yr's best class is also 3H cos all the highest marks (ENglish, Science, Chinese, Tamil, Malay...) came from 3H!
              Sweat......

Ya. Very impressed with Rulang’s achievement in 2010. Attaining international and national awards. My dh and I enjoyed all the various performances as well.

And we were also very impressed when the sch announced last yr top 20 PSLE scorers and found out all went to top schs; namely RGS, Nanyang Girls’ RI and HCI (the most number of students went to RI). I forgot the exact number. ttyh, do u have the numbers?

Rulang is a neighbourhood sch with majority of students from the heartland and for the sch to produce such top students is really something to shout out. There’s really much value-addedness. JMHO.

                  All the hardwork comes with a \"price\" - \"endless drilling\", so to speak. πŸ˜›

The reshuffling of classes each year from p3 onwards is nail-biting enough.

Everyone knows that to do well academically, a great deal of effort, hardwork and drillings are required. Unlike majority kids from top schs whose families have the resources to send them to various tuition to get the 'endless drilling', most heartlander kids do not have such fortune. Hence, for Rulang to produce 20 students who can qualify into top top sec schs like HCI, RGS, NYG and RI, it's really quite an achievement. I am sure families who cannot afford to send their kids to expensive top tuition centres will appreciate the 'endless drillings' that the school provides to help them do well in PSLE. This is the 'price' I am sure most parents are willing to pay. πŸ˜‰

It is an open secret that top schs do not give their students 'endless drillings' because 90% of their kids are receiving those drillings from tuition centres like Learning Lab and Mind stretcher.

Other than academic achievements, Rulang has shown competency and won international and national awards in other areas like Wushu, Robostics, rope skipping and Softball. Personally, I enjoyed their fusion dance, symphonic band, choir and Chinese Orchestra performances and felt they performed real well on Speech Day. So, I feel that Rulang has tried to give a holistic education to their students other than 'endless drillings'. πŸ˜‰

                      Hi Lock,

I share the same sentiment with you.
My dd has no tuition and we rely on the drilling from teachers and supp classes.
Rest assured as your kid goes higher up, he/she will get more worksheets as homework, more time spent in the school not only on supp lesson but also various activities.
The "prefect" duty is one of the exciting activities in the school.

I thought I saw 4 names under each school - RI, NY, HCI...
