Agreed :), like school camps, outdoor education trips, racial harmony days etc to keep parents abreast of the happenings in school. Pictures tell a thousand words


I noticed there is a space (right bottom of page) that runs some pictures like a sideshow. Maybe if this can be included in the albums, that will be great.

Hello

I just received the confirmation letter from school and my son will be going to P1 next yr in Shuqun. The orientation date is on 10 Nov 9am and I would like to check do we purchase book and uniform on that day too? What we need to bring on that day? Do my son need to take a test on that day? Thanks for your info!

Hi bktan02,

Congrats to your son in getting a place in SQPS. My son will be at the orientation too :). If I remembered correctly, there will be another schedule outside the orientation day for parents to buy books and uniform. During the orientation, there will be couple of forms to fill in after listening to some briefing in the school hall. Remember how to write your son's Chinese name because I forgotten how to write my daughter's Chinese name the last time :oops: :oops: . Bring along your bank account number as well for giro application (I think for school fees). Other than that, I do not remember what else are needed. I think the school to contact the parents again before orientation day.

I do not think there will be any formal test per se but the children will be led away to have a separate orientation at the time when the parents are filling in forms. You can check with your kid what are being done after that.

It is going to be another year of nail biting ballot under phase 2C with 120 registration for 93 places. I guess the low vacancies in Rulang this year has a flow over effect to Shuqun.

Good luck to all parents going through the balloting.
I have been there and knows how it feels. Stay positive and have a backup plan

We did ballot few years ago, and really a heart attack experience…I almost burst when they announced my dd name

No classes for P1 to P5 on Thursday and Friday due to PSLE Oral. Follow by holiday on Monday, it is going to be a 5 days off for the kids!


Congrats to those whom have been successful in the ballot and dismay not for those who did not make it. I strongly believe in building the strong foundation from P1 and 2 in whatever schools your kids are in.
