    • RE: Q&A - P3 Math

Need advise on the following using supposition method-

      1. Mary has saved $8.30 last week. She has 25 fifty cents and twenty cents coins. How many twenty cents does she has?

      2. With $58, David can buy either 7 donuts and 5 breads or 4 donuts and 7 breads. What is the cost of a donut?

Using other methods, I can solve the problems but I just do not have a clue how to work out and explain using supposition method. Need help here, thanks!

The official uniform vendor is Kah Huat Dressmaker.

      Address is
      Address: Blk 115A, Commonwealth Drive,
      #04-15/16, Singapore 149596
      Tel 64796811

You can just buy at the school bookshop though.

Anyone know where can we buy the uniform from outside instead of school? My son suddenly put on so much weight and his pant is too tight. Only wear for 8mths, so waste money.

You can go to the school's bookshop to buy uniform.

      Welcome Map1esyrup and lakalaka šŸ˜„

I cannot recommend any child care since my kids do not go to child care centre. Perhaps other parents can recommend.

Well, my kids are not in P5 yet but for my P1, they have almost weekly journal writing while my P3 has at least Chinese/English compo practice once per month.

      woodmelon:

      Hi Janettpl,

It is difficult to generalize the teaching standard because it depends on the teachers and their experiences/creativity. What I can say is there are really good and dedicated teachers in SQPS. I have 2 kids in SQ, in P1 and P3 respectively. Both of their form teachers are very responsive to emails/SMS if you have any doubts. As for the method, you can go through their P1 slides for an idea

      http://www.shuqunprimary.net/resources_presentation_slides.html

Other than academics, there are many opportunities that the school provides to let the child excel in other non academics area such as leadership, sports, creativity etc. Academically, if the child shows potential, they will be given extra guidance in the Higher Abilities classes to name a few.

I was in the same dilemma as you couple of years back. Under phase 2C, my kid's chances was 1:3 in Rulang vs 1:1.2 in SQ. Although balloting was conducted in both schools, I decided to try my luck in SQ for the higher chances.

      Janettpl:
Hi All dear parents, How kids currently studying in SQ? How is the teaching standard? I am now preparing for my girl... cannot decide which school Rulang or Shuqun? Both just next to my flat! But Rulang competition very stiff compare to SQ! Thus I wish to understand more the teaching at Shuqun to decide. thanks
