It’s the school’s right to make any changes to dismissal time, I recognise. But it’s very strange when they deem fit to only inform P1 parents, and not the rest of the school.

      But thanks for the inputs.

Parents what do you think about grouping P1 classes by month of birth?

I think the month of birth does impact the learning curve. Although it will even out later, I think it is best to bridge the gap in P1 so that all will be confident learners later on without affecting self-esteem or spending more time to catch-up.

As for the timing thing. Although during the P1 orientation there was mention of the arrival and dismissal timing but the information is different from the printed material. So there’s confusion for me.

The formal note about the arrival and dismissal timing for the first 2 week was given on the 2nd day of school. It would be better if it was given during Orientation day, so that I would not miss out on the early dismissal time for the first day. Thanks

Is time-table given for the P1s yet? My dd has not received any time table. Yet, she told me her lessons offically starts this Mon.

On the dismissal time, all level parents didn’t know about it until jan 2012, so P1 parents had a head start. Anyway, for me, that is a past issue, I’m only looking forward.

My p2 hasn’t got his timetable, but he has submitted his worksheets and exercise books. Teachers should have enough to work on. Just remember to pack their textbooks, plus a storybook can already.

No time table yet but ds was told to bring Chinese textbook on Monday. I assume lessons will start next week.

My feedback on the dismissal timing is different from yours. For the 1st 2 wks the P1 will be dismissed earlier than the rest of the level. 😄

Sahm tan, if no one replies, then I advise you to bring also the textbooks. Should be only Chinese and Maths right?

Sahm Tan, if there is nothing written on the handbook, I guess no need to bring any textbk bah…just colouring pencils, storybk and stationery will do. I always refer to the handbk for things to bring…
