Just to add on, there's weiqi, can't remember abt chi chess, impression like have, think I saw Chi dance too.
I think parents fret more than necessary, but it's something we all do.smurfy:
my pri 1 boy successfully bought 4 books from the sch bookshop.

can someone advise what are the ccas available in hong wen?
when are we going to receive the magical update on ccas?
do u all sign ur kids up for ccas since pri 1?
ccas in hws....the more popular ones are Chinese orchestra, wushu, rope skipping, table tennis, track & field (but only P3 and above), band, mrl (aka library), speech and drama clubs and some other clubs.
CCAs only compulsory from P3. If your child is keen, can start in P1 - I know pp whose kids started in Chinese Orchestra and wushu since P1. Mine not that excited so I didn't find out more nor sign up. There are info available, if parent is really keen, can call up the school to enquire enrolment details.
Yup dd1 joined CCA, that she chose herself, since P1. Ds is eagerly waiting in the wings to join the one that he likes too. -

Find a shorter queue and sacrifice play time during recess. How you solve recess problem?
My kid always complained school didn't rotate each grade for recess. So the long queue always. Sometimes pack something for her. But I think school must solve it soo.
Think they tried staggering but did not work out well.
I know the canteen aunties have tried to shorten the queue by preparing sets so that they can grab, pay and go. But kids like choices so they will still choose the items they like to add on.
These few wks may be slower becos P1 are getting use to buying food and paying the right amt. -

Dear jazzzz,
Casco (Towner) branch timetable
They start p1 creative writing course this year
Duration : 1.5 hrs
Casco (Towner) is near your school.
You may first check with your school what is the p1 creative writing English format like, first. You may approach your school english hod, for p1 rrquirements.
Then ask for a sample of p1 Cw format, from casco.
See whether is similar to what your school require.
