Hongwen school emphasis on character building. Students are taught to be 孝顺 ，好学 and 守礼。All students need to bow when they see any Teachers and staff of Hongwen school as respect. Teachers are very helpful and responsible. My 3 kids enjoy going to school and I have no regret sending them to Hongwen School.

Hi all, tks for the good feedbacks posted previously! I’m an HW alumni and likely will be sending my DS to HW.
I was trying to follow the old posts to find out more abt HW now and special tks to hquek and sahm_tan for the many comments! They are v objective, patient and insightful.
I’m just thinking their kids would be P5 or P6 now and must have lots to share esp when they have seen them through almost the full primary sch…
I dun see much posts for the higher levels and may I know if the experienced parents have any insights If the sch prepares them sufficiently before PSLE? If the kids are in the better classes, do they get extra push to achieve more academically?

Dear parents, would like some advice as I fall within 1km from HWS. Unfortunately, based on past history even those within 1km will probably have to ballot. I applied for PV, and as I have yet to hear from them (whereas some of my friends got notified of their acceptance) - I will assume (for now) that I did not get accepted. May I know if there are other parents who only got called up for PV beyond July? Appreciate any response I can get!

If you have not been called up, I think you can assume that you were not selected. Even if you were called up at a later date, you may not have enough time and opportunities to clock the required hours.
