Hi all! Would like to seek some advice if possible.

I am currently intending to go for phase 2A1 for RMPS . Based on past history, it seems like aside from 1 year (2014), most years phase 2A1 shd be relatively safe?

But, being kiasu me, I was wondering if I shd have an added security of using grandparent's address (within 2km) as I am currently out of 2km.

On the flip side, if the situation for some reason turns against me and I do not manage to enter via phase 2A1, I am worried that then I will not even be able to ballot for 2C within my home zone as I will have to use my parents address.

Anyone can shed some advice, pls? Or perhaps I am thinking too much... >.<

Thank you so very much, gurus!
Phase 2A1 (and 2A2, if u didn’t manage to join alumni) for RMPS is absolutely safe, all distances.

Anyway, using grandparent’s address won’t help u in phase 2C as balloting occurs for <1km.[/quote]
Thanks to both Floppy & you for giving me the confidence to go ahead! 🙂 :rahrah:

Hello fellow parents! I'm staying within 1km of Hong Wen (applied for PV but rejected 😢). 1-2km for SJIJ & St Andrew's J. Am also alumni for Radin Mas (but the distance is further, so if possible would like to opt for a nearer sch).

Looking at past statistics, Hong Wen is a long shot even within 1km (am I correct?) , same for SJIJ & SAJ within 1-2km. But if given a choice, I would rather go for a catholic sch.

Strategy will be to go for RMPS under 2A1 and watch for stats for 2C. May I ask.. What are the odds for 1-2km for both SJIJ and SAJ? My risk appetite is v low! For now, I told myself I'll only withdraw from RMPS if either is a sure in (no ballot).

Appreciate any thoughts though it's only next year that I'll be registering..!

Dear parents, would like some advice as I fall within 1km from HWS. Unfortunately, based on past history even those within 1km will probably have to ballot. I applied for PV, and as I have yet to hear from them (whereas some of my friends got notified of their acceptance) - I will assume (for now) that I did not get accepted. May I know if there are other parents who only got called up for PV beyond July? Appreciate any response I can get! 😄
