Kids have a chinese reading log where they write in the titles of books they have read. There is a target of 200 books per year (50 per semester).

Must read everyday to achieve that target

Yah, that's why a mountain for me. Am gunning for simple books as a start. πŸ™

They do not provide a reading list? It's up to the parents' choice?

oh, is this reading program the one that requires pv?

Buddy Reading - to read to the P1 and P2 LSP students
KidsREAD\t- To assist the students during English reading activities (eg. help in spelling)

There is a long list of recommended books included behind. I THINK we have a choice. The required school reading only 6 (?) books, somehow must make up the difference.

This is a good thing for me. DS1 usually say he dunno when it comes to reading chinese books; but now with this, he boh pian and has to read out loud to me. heh heh heh

no. I gather that reading program is PART of the whole scheme of things to assist the weaker students.
