now i recalled DS was asked to go into a room with 1 teacher to access his reading ability. i guess from there, they will determine where to put them in classes.
i saw the new PE shirt, light blue with something like china collar rite? but how come they match it with the same old short (dark blue with yellow trimming)? i saw a few students wearing that. as for the uniform, i have yet a chance to see it yet. -

The tests will be conduct during orientation? Is it for both English & Mandarin?
For the school shoes, it has to be totally white? or normal white track shoes will do? -

Hi mummies,
There was a communication letter from the school given out somewhere in the second term this year that the current uniform will be slowly phased out over the next few years. Currently, the students are allowed to use the new light blue china collared shirt with the current PE shorts or the new bermudas (culottes for the girls).
My child loves the new uniform as he does not need to tuck it in.

nope, it will be earlier than the orientation date. i do not recall there is Mandarin, DS only told me he was asked to read a paragraph of English passage.
for the school shoe, i think so long as white will do. -

[/quote]OIC, the PE new short not out yet?
any changes on the uniform?
anyone knows what dates are the uniform shop in school opened? i want to buy some new PE shirt for DS, his are full of stain... -
The whole new set of uniform is out.
Boy's will be light blue tee shirt with dark blue bermudas.
Girl's will be light blue tee shirt with dark blue culottes.
This set of uniform serves duo purposes. It can be use for both PE or non-PE days. Which means, in the future, we need not buy two different sets of uniforms. Save the hassle and confusion for us mummies when we get ready their uniforms.
Previously, Ngee Ann has two sets of uniform. The yellow tee shirt and dark blue shorts with the yellow trimming to be worn for PE days and the light blue shirt and blue shorts/skirt for non-PE days.
If I'm not wrong, they are opened this Friday. -
tks sokk!
combining both uniform and PE attire is wonderful! we can save $ and trouble of remembering which days to wear PE or uniform
ok, i will make a trip down this Friday -
Mummies, so our kids yet to start P1 also can go & buy as well? I abit KS, heehee!

Hi porkypig
I think you can too. If not when you wait till the very day to buy, I am sure you have to queue. Bring along yr child so you know the sizes. From my experience, you need at least 3 sets. You are lucky now as only 1 type of uniform. Before, I have to buy 2 sets of school uniform and 3 sets of PE attires. As what cholecube mentioned, my sonโs uniform and PE attires are all stained too with calligraphy ink.
