Hi jocekoh
Yes, parents are asked not to be in the school on the first day. Thatโs why the school conducts orientation. During the orientation, you will see how it will be on the first day of the school. Donโt worry, there is parents volunteers and buddies to guide your child during the first few days. Even recess parents are not allowed. I have had gone through, now my boy is P4. -
My DD will be in P1 next yr in Ngee Ann too. i got a son who is also in that school, he is in P3 this yr.Jocekoh, dun worry, as pingatot mentioned, your child will be assigned with a P5 student to help guide ur kid for the first 2 weeks. she will be taught where to buy food and how to go abt it. i heard P1 and P2 are not allow to bring HP to school, if anything, they can go to general ofc (level 1) to use to phone or \"borrow\" $ if she loses her wallet or forget to bring $ to school. else, there is also a public phone near the canteen, but always long Q according to my son..
hey, wonder if ur daughter will be in the same class as mine

My girl will also be in P1 next year. I noe that they are single session but any idea exactly the school hours.
She will be taking the bus transport. $ 150 a month! I just hope she dont have to wake up like 5 am to go to school. -

but if no one is fetching her, i guess school bus is the best alternative
wait till she is older, train her to take public bus back
by then, she will have her CCA and remedial, styaing in school will increase and taking school bus will not be feasible as there will be extra charges per trip -
Hi, my son will be in P1 next year & one of the books to be brought on the 1st day is pupils Diary 2012. I was packing the bag & notice that it was "NFY" on the booklist. Can anyone advise what it means? Just realize it is to late to buy now.
-
Hi my son also in P1 next year. I dont know what NFY meabs but the bookshop said it wasnt available yet when I bought the books. Good thing the form teacher mention to bring it then I recall I didnt have that yet. So bought on orientation day. Should be fine - should be able to buy on first day.

Hi all, am new to the forum, nice to meet all..

DS2 is in p1 this year.. Am so excited!!
We are staying in chai chee, hope to meet others in this area too.. Oh, btw, I heard there are 2 bus operators in the school.. Any idea if the other picks and drop off at chai chee too? My bus fare is surprisingly high..
hubby is trying to convince me to make an effort to send and fetch the DS, but would be hard as am a ftwm too.
Thanks for all inputs!!
