there will be a \"show and tell\" next week for P1

      DD one falls on 13/4
she is very worried and scared, she told me she does not want to speak in front of the class.. 😞
i just helpt to write a short presentation for her to memorise and hope she can do her best..
      Hi Chloecube,

No worries.. just tell her to say something that she likes to say. Like my son in P1 Care. His teacher asked them to say himself. Things that he likes and his family.. etc.. So I told him to say something he likes and also can bring some toys or pictures when saying. More over it will not be more than 5 mins. No problem. πŸ˜‚

        Hi phyphy,

DD's topic is about Myself too!
yes, had told her not to worry. i suspect she is scare bcos she is afraid of making mistake and her frds will laugh at her
she is a girl with lots of pride, she feels hurt when she is laughed at.
for example there was once, she fell in the public and she quickly got up in no time, so that no one caught her fall and also her face went red when i asked her about it.
she is dislike all the attention on her when she has to speak alone in front of her frds and teacher.
i think i have to train her to have more confidence by practising more often.

          Hi Chloecube,
May be you can consider let your DD attend the drama class (saturday at ngee ann) where they will train her public speaking, last time during kindergarten, my DS also very shy, the school has drama class and now he not shy anymore, can speak in front of class confidently.

Hi any of your kids join the speech and drama or table tennis class? Was considering to join but looking at his current schedule, it’s already quite packed. Will need to cut back some other activities if we take the sat Eca into consideration.

              Hi Starling,

I have enrolled the speech and drama class for mother tongue for my son. I think starting soon. I m trying to let him enjoy and like mother tongue as it is his weakest subject as for now.

Yes, the Saturday morning chinese drama, but i did not enrol my DS for this class as his schedule in Saturday is too tight. I enrol him to Chess class. Last week was first lesson.

                        P1 can take CCA already?
sorry for my ignorance, i thought it was compulsory only in P3.
i was thinking of letting DD join Chinese dance, but when i look at the training time (twice per week and each time 3hr), i back out. πŸ˜“
