Congrats to all the kids who got in. I am so happy for my DS too. I also called the school this morning and confirm our status. When I finished registrating, I stay a while to look ard. All I see is happy kids playing ard, so we can start P1 discussion here. hahaha… Lets share the kid class after 10 Nov here.

Unfortunately we would still be on vacation on 10 Nov. Disappointed about missing the orientation. Hope we won’t miss too much.

                Good morning:)

Can I confirm that the Orientation for TKPS Primary 1 is 10 Nov 2012? What time??
Do you know what is the schedule like; do they have mass briefing for parents and children for p1 curriculum? Can we talk to the bus operators? and will there be CCAs on display too?

Parents will be brief at the hall, kids will be brought to their classrooms to break the ice, play games and do some arts…

No cca for p1 yet, uniform and books will be on sale that day…

                      hello,

My DS will be for 2014 P1 intake and planning for TKPS or Ngee Ann.
Both of these come within 1km of my house in marine Drive.

Any parent has any recommendation? Which is better in terms of academic areas, disclipine, character development?
                      Thanks.

                        Hi,

I've a son in P1 this year and the reason I chose TKPS was because I noticed that the school has produced pretty impressive PSLE results for a new school. (I'm a true-blue Singaporean so cannot run away from seeing results)

Check out the links for a comparison of last year's PSLE result between TKPS and NAPS.

My son is enjoying school very much. His teachers are stern but yet caring. They have more boys in the school because the nearby girls' schools (Haig and CHIJ) have absorbed quite a number of females but the teachers do seem to know how to deal with the boys.

They are strong in their sports CCAs and I believe that students build their character through their CCAs. They will learn how to work in teams and how to be more resilience and to excel in what they do. Hope this helps.
