Hi,

I am a P6 student in Meridian Primary this year.Heard that Meridian Primary is trying to band students( if i am not wrong, P2 to P6 nect year) according to their performance in their mathematics results this year. The top class will be A, followed by B then all the way until the last class. Thus, I think Meridian Primary want to focus on Mathematics more. So, if your child is in Meridian Primary, please focus on Mathematics more.:) Hope this helps!

Does the school teach Higher Chinese?

Hi sim,

the teachers who teach hcl will train the students to write better compositions like teaching the students more good vocsbs and phrases. the teachers will also teach the students how to answer comprehension in a way that the standard will be higher than normal students. however, the teachers will not teach normal cl. the students will hav to study themselves. only when the examination date is nearer, the the teachers will teach the students how to cope with oral and lc. so the students must be independent enough to study normal cl themselves.

Um… if u want to know how i feel, i dont really know how to describe. I love tjis sch vry much. most of the teachers there are friendly and caring. they will be ther to help me if i dont really understand a certain concept or question. but i dont really like some of the teachers there. they r not very nice and they dont really give encouragements. about a few of them dont really like those students who r quiet and talkative. they simply just ignore them. but most are good, i would say that. but i dislike the fact that the principal keep changing. the new principal does not really the old principals and that will results in some changes in the sch. the thing i like most about my sch is my friends and classmates there. i think meridians r the best ncuz when my classmate ws sick, we will help him or her to revise. my classmates have team spirit. we work well together. when it comes to psle, although everone wanted to get the top 10, we helped each other. this is the part i like most about mdps.

I went to the MOE seminar for P1 2013 registration. I managed to speak to the chairperson of the parent volunteer in the school, some of the teachers and i spent more time talking to the students who were there sharing their works. I was pretty impressed by the confidence and passion showed by the students interacting with the parents. They are polite and carry themselves very well. I am considering to send my girl to this school but I also heard some negative comments that the standard of the school is not so good.


Any advice and does anyone know about the background of the new principal?
