Yes, my kid is schooling in Greendale.

The school is very academic based rather than striking a balance between sport and academic. Every year, award presentation for top 10% of the cohort will definitely goes to the first 2 classes.

If your kid managed to get into the first few classes, then you have to be prepare that your kid’s homework will be tonnes. I did a comparison betweeny kid who is in the first class and my friend’s kid in the forth class. Apparently the homework is few times more. I am not saying that no having homework is good. But rather teachers do not communicate with each others while assigning homework. To me, they are completing who gives the most homework. Touch our hearts, I am sure that many parents sent their kids for extra lessons after school. Given that amount of homework and extra lessons, kids are deprived of their own free time.

Make sure your kid join the right CCA. The school put in no effort in promoting and ensure good training environment in grooming the kids. They will only promote and do marketing for CCA the kids do well in. End of the day, it is still not the effort by the school but the effort of kiasu parents sending kids to private coaching.

Teachers in charge of CCA are not familar with the game. My kid missed his chance to attend junior sport academy selection. The HOD just brushed me off by saying he don’t know what happen.

My advise is that if you want your kid to strike a balance in academic and sport, then this school is not for you. There are better school in the neighbourhood.

All above all based on my own observation, experience and opinion.

Thx for yr advise. For me I more focus on academic rather than CCA & for sure I will enrol him into enrichment courses. Hopefully it will helps.

Do u means that for those more poor etc shall be at the last few classes? Coz I just receive the package & was enlist into P1-7 for nxt year & I was under phase 2C.

For P1&2, it does not matter which class ur kid is in. is only P3 then the kids are designed to different classes based on their P2 overall aggregate.
