We went for the trial lesson in Tsien Xia and my boy hates it.

        Checking with Berries on vacancies.
Previously, when we speak Chinese, he reply in English.
At least now better, he can speak some. Need to catch up.

So long he is willing to speak chinese, rest should be able to go with the normal pace.

My dd is weak in chinese too, and is struggling to catch up with the rest.

Have signed her up for holiday camp and P3 headstarter class in Tsien Hsia. Started her holiday camp yesterday, and she seems to like it there. She says the teachers are nice and patient.

My boy as been in Tien Hsia since K1, initially struggle badly but now seems to improve a bit. At least willing to converse with my parents in (broken) chinese. Haha.

This year he asked for a break from Tien Hsia so we decided to give him a break after term 4 (which ended). Have not signed up for next year (P1) yet as the weekend classes are all full.

Found a http://one.pa.gov.sg/CRMSPortal/CRMSPortal.portal?_nfpb=true&_st=&_windowLabel=CRMSPortal_1&_urlType=render&_mode=view&wlpCRMSPortal_1_action=ACMParticipantMaintain&_pageLabel=CRMSPortal_page_1&IdProdInst=19405693&CWT= Class starting 8 Dec at Sembawang CC, not sure if it is good 😄

                  Hi Keltong,

Actually got Hanyu Pinyin class conducted in Sembawang CC too.
However we are not sure if it’s similar to the curriculum currently learnt in the Childcare centre?

Yeah...saw that too...useful for kids who didn't go through HYPY. I know of childcare who deliberately does not teach HYPY.

Since my boy's childcare did taught them, and he went through Tien Hsia...think don't want to go for another HYPY class. Character recognition is another thing, I strongly feel it is very useful, and also since we are late in signing up for Tien Hsia for next year.

Have to \"force\" him to read more chinese books..hopefully this sat he is able to do for the chinese language assesment if there is..:(
