How do you think of the new principal thus far? Received a letter saying the kids are encouraged to be in school by 7.20am. is it compulsory?

I think the new principal is great.

Also educating our young ones need both ways: the school and us.

so I always send my son on time for his silent reading.

Also, we are setting an example for him and teaching him responsibility and self discipline. Imagine all students are silent reading while late comers started coming in. That will mean to the child: Late is ok, Dilly Dally is ok

I think the Principal send the letter is because many parents prefer to let their young ones sleep 10-15mins more and skip the silent reading purposely.

As such, to ensure all parents cooperate, the school needs to send to the parents to remind. The school can only remind, remind and remind. Ultimately, it’s the parents and students who will be the ones benefiting.

                  Hi,

I have a problem here, my girl is in P1 this year, she told me her Chinese teacher wil throw their workbooks on the floor and let them come out and pick it up.
I like to check is it happen to your kid’s class also?

I personally felt this is very bad to the kids, is not the exma papers or test papers, just a normal workbooks and worksheets, just don’t understand why the teacher will throw it on the floor.

Can someone advise me what should i do, thks

Please make an appointment to see the principal regarding this issue. Ask the teacher how she feel if someone were to throw the books on floor and ask her pick up? Wonder what kind of teacher is she?

Actually I was asking the same question as you but the answers wasn't really what I have expected. Probably didn't phrase it clearly enough. Think encouraged to be in school by 7.20am, latest by 7.35am?
