This is a good primary school with affiliation to a good secondary school. I am flabbergasted why someone would chose to give up on this school and go to RS in the east without any affiliation. Grab hold of this primary school due to its affiliation with the secondary. The recent PSLE and O level exam results have shown better improvements with each passing year, resulting in lower COP into preferred secondary or JC.

RE: 2023 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2011)
Those who scored AL1 for Science during Prelim also felt that MCQs tricky and Booklet B challenging as compared to the previous, past 8 years PSLE Science exam papers.
Time to celebrate no more PSLE Science! As long as you know your Science concepts very well, you should be able to do reasonably well.
Cheers ! -

It would be good to practise past 8 years actual PSLE papers and to compare the marks achieved by your child in his school prelim exam, against the marks he got from other school prelim exams papers and actual PSLE standard exam papers. You will know the difference once you have compared these 3 examples.
hi,my twins didn't have maths tuition throughout pri school but both got AL1 for psle. I would say do not be just dependent on the questions the school set. I gave my kids throughout the year many many top schools exam papers to do to give them exposure to a variety of questions so that whatever the psle qns they throw out, at least my kids will at least have done something similar before and will not panic. But with 1 mth left before psle, not sure if it is too late to do that now. -

I thought it happened to just one school on Tuesday 15 August but after finding out more from others, I realised it affected a number of different schools in Singapore, be it the MT oral exam technical issues or the variety of English oral questions asked on Day1.
Phew..I thought dd heard wrongly..I don't dare to tell her what I read. -

A popular girls’ school in the North was affected too. I feel special consideration should have been given to all the groups of affected students from different schools taking MT Oral exam on Day 1.
If you are taking MT oral on Shift 1 Day 1, you could have left the school by 10.50am. However, I heard that pupils for Day 1 Shift 1 left at 12 plus in afternoon due to delay. As a result, it affected Day 1 Shift 2 pupils to end the oral as late as 2 plus in afternoon.
Schools should have taken initiative to send message via PG - Parent Gateway to inform affected parents whose children are taking oral exam. Snacks and drinks like biscuits and Milo should be provided.
Hopefully, MOE schools can reflect based on this incident and plan for 2024 oral examinations for pupils to bring snacks along for oral exam in case such technical issues happen again.
Lastly, have a full breakfast before taking any exam. -

I understand from the pic that Year 4 can go local poly or art college but not to JCs or ITEs. Year 4 can go overseas university or art college. -

Hi
All SOTA students go thru a 6 years programme. The only diff is whether it’s a IB programme or a IB career related programme (which will be decided later).
If a student decides to leave at end of Year 4 fr SOTA, what are the implications and will the student graduate with any cert? If someone regrets joining SOTA by year 4, it will be too late to transfer out to another school right ?
Can the student go to polytechnic or need to go overseas for further studies since unable to get into JC, poly or even ITE ? -

The smart way is to use Taylor Swift tickets to motivate the children towards completing mock exam paper at home under timed condition. Calculate the money save in your pockets by not engaging in paid mock exam practice and your children will cooperate with you by doing their papers diligently. The self-motivated ones will mark and analyse mistakes on their own and go for consultations with subject teachers in school. -
