Now I AM grouchy. I told my kid that first 3 in class will have prizes. My mistake - should have checked and not assumed! Now he's so sad that he will not be able to get a prize. Endeavour only awards to the 1st in class. So much for encouragement, duh !
Maybe you can give him something more than he had wanted as a form of recognition from his parents? At the end of the day, kids want recognition and acceptance from their parents, right? One moment of glory receiving prize on stage cannot be compared to the love, praise and recognition from parents.

Can I check with all of you, if we get the books from popular bookstore instead of pacific bookstore, will it be the same versions and pricewise the same?
Also, i just realised after looking through the booklist that for chinese, all the textbooks are higher chinese. Does this means that from P1 onwards, all the kids will be studying higher chinese regardless of their mandarin standards? Thanks, would appreciate any replies.

I did my comparison last year - yes, list price the same. However Popular has further discounts if you are Popular member and has freebies. Same book versions - no issue. Downside is Popular may not have all the books in the book list and of course, those items with school names. They do not have those books with publsiher listed as Teachers’ Production. It means that you will need to buy from 2 different sources to save approx $5.
Endeavour has Higher Chinese for P1s onwards. Was told that there will be further streaming later on i.e. I suppose those whom are weaker in Chinese can choose or will be recommended to be on Normal Chinese.
