I agree with cfan. The education system is no longer the same as our times. Tan53, it is sad that the school does not pay more attention to weaker students, which I learnt from my daughter. Her friends were not in the first 2 chinese classes has less homework. Pls email the admin department regarding the chinese teacher and also question them why the chinese language department place more focus on the first 2 classes. Feedback to the school is necessary if you want the school to improve. Without feedback from the parents, the school do not know what are the problems that the students are facing.

I have emailed to the school admin last year when my daughter had a new chinese teacher who place no importance on the chinese moral education as they were left to do their own things and not teaching them the subject. I was glad that they looked into it, as they do want to improve the school. So feel free to feedback to the school. It is better than not doing anything.

                    Cfan,

Totally agree. It is hard being parents nowadays cos of the system. Now I understand why some parents are more kiasu than before, all cos of the change of education system.

                      Tan53,

What cfan said abt preparing our kids for next year is true, the syllabus is much harder than before and it is better to be prepared. Kids tend to be discouraged in studying when it becomes too hard for them, my son is like that and I am worried how he will be able to cope in P1 next year even though he has gone for chinese and English classes. To prepare them in advance is to let them hv an easier time to cope with their studies when school reopens. Really no choice even though I don’t like it.
