Hi My girl will be in P1 next yr. Just wondering what are the options for after school care. I just called the school after school care but was told can only registered at the Orientation day. My colleagues say after school care are v popular and must register asap. Any comments and suggestions on alternative after school care? thank you.

Dear Kiasu Parents,
We would like to appeal for help!
Our son is 5 years old next year and we are now planning for his Primary One enrolment. We were advised to start our Parent Volunteer early in order to clock sufficient hours.
We are first-time and inexperienced parents and do not know what is the best strategy to plan for a good school for our son (though the government says “every school is a good school”). Any type of advice from experienced parents here would be very helpful to us.
We reside in Seng Kang, we are looking at Nan Chiau Primary School as the first choice. However, through our enquiry, we understand that Nan Chiau doesn’t accept Parent Volunteer. We need to be a member of Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan in order to become a School-based Member Volunteer. As you may be aware, 1 of the criteria to join the Huay Kuan is to obtain recommendation from 2 existing members.
We would like to check if any Kiasu Parents here who are existing members of the Huay Kuan can offer their recommendations to us?
Thank you for your time, your assistance and support is deeply appreciated!
One of the Kiasu Parents,

mmmm… seems like this thread quite dead… other than those asking for sponsorship which quite obvious a turn-off, not much discussion…
