The upgrading details:

      http://www.ncps.moe.edu.sg/document/road_show.pdf

does it mean there will be more classrooms and the in-take will remain?

I remembered the principal told us during orientation that the school will still have about 300 sits for every year primary one students.

The school will be converted to single session hopefully in the year 2013 as what the principal cross fingers that there is not much raining seasons throughout the constructions.

That is why there will be more classrooms for all students in one sessions, not to increase the number of sits for yearly primary one students intake. :(
The P1 intake will definitely be cut due to single session. No matter how the school upgraded, it will not be able to accommodate so many students in 1 session, some more the upgrade also includes other facilities which aren't available today.

I heard there will also be a student care centre. Is the student care rooms refer to that or simply some rooms to care for students? Anyone has more details on this aspect? Currently, only Polaris Junior student care serves NCPS.

I am also of the opinion that intake will decrease next year. The only time when the intake was increase was for the 2007 P1 because it was the year where the dragon babies enrolled for P1.

Also, I remembered that the government also mentioned before that the single sessions school will not affect ( less students) the intakes .

Hi, correction. There is no balloting for those less than 1km under P2B. You may checked the balloting history in this forum. My son got in this yr without balloting in P2B as I stays within 1km. Ballot only for 1 to 2 km. Above 2km, no chance at all as all vacancies taken up for those less than 2km.

                how abt P2C for 1-2km?
P2C is balloting within 1km only. 1-2km no chances. What I understand my friend told me the admin staffs will ask u where u stays within and if your're 1-2 km or even 2km, they will advise u strongly to registered another school near to your house . (Usually near the ends of the registrations dates for Phase 2C) 😞

The school will demolish an existing classroom block to make way for the new classroom block, which will only be ready by end 2012. This will definitely stretch the existing classrooms to its limit next year, so for 2012 P1 , I believe there will be a reduction in intake. I think we should know in another few months when the P1 registration takes place.

                        😒 😒 😒

i applied for PV but they only call say received my application... now is wait and see... guess it's hopeless 😞

If u r 1-2km, they might not want u to PV in vain either, as it was subjected to balloting at 2B for 2011 & only those <1km at 2B gotten in for 2010 P1 (1-2km totally no chance that yr).

Hi, I am new here and aimed to register my child to NPC this year.

Appreciate any experienced parents could share with us usually when will we need to obtain the application form from SHKK for P1 Registration Phase 2B in 2011, what is the procedure to apply the recommendation letter from SHKK ?

Also the website of SHKK mentioned, "You will be informed by the School if your application is successful." If this is the case, Usually when will the school notify us the application result. Also if really failed, is it really no chance to appeal ?? How should we do? Ask SHKK or ask School?
