Hi everyone! Newbie parent wanting to find out more about schools in the area especially North Spring, Rivervale and North Vista.

I think RPS sure balloting so I’m down to NSPS and NVPS.

Any parents have views on NSPS? Called the school and the Admin Manager attended to my queries. He explained that the school may go single session next year if the contractors can finish the upgrading of the classrooms by end of 2013. Would be nice if they can! Anyway, hope to hear your views!

If you are staying near the school, you should consider for your child. Reason being there are 2 supplementary class per week.

Forget sending your child to NV.

Gals from NV and I have transferred them to NS to 2-3 years ago. They are doing fine. It’s alot better than NV.

At least all the overseas trip, field trips, out-source teacher to teach Math & Science Olympiad are fully paid thru Edusave. Unlike NV, everything parents have to come out their own pocket.

If you have a child is OK but family like mine have 2 kids so every thing times 2.

Moreover, I do not like the way the school runs in NV especially the netbook in P2.

Thanks Greenbelt! Visited the North Spring, and have positive views of the school. Most likely will apply for my kid 🙂

NS do not use Stellar anymore.

They called it E-text which is like worksheet.

Really? Spoke to one of the HOD that they have Stellar... in fact, they've introduced Stellar to P5 this year in addition from P1 to P4.

Gals are in P3 & 4. They do not used Stellar at all for them. As for P5, I really have no ideal.

Thanks sushigal for the prompt reply.

Any idea what's e-text as my understanding was stellar is the newest \"version\" for English where they dont use the traditional textbooks anymore.

Also, do your gals go to student care as the only nearest student care Lotus student care will be ceasing operation next year and I need student care for my son and ns doesn't have in house student care 😞

E-text is like worksheet which I mentioned. When gals was in NV they used Stellar for English.

No textbooks for both NS and NV.

I’m a fulltime mum for gals. Student care I have no ideal.
