My daughter got in Rivervale Primary school for 2015 after the balloting at this morning. Total 83 places vs 144 registered for phase 2C
Congrats! This school is one of the respectable school ard Sengkang estate. -
Every yr 2C is a tough fight for River Vale Pri.

From the past sharing by parents, it seems that this school is academic driven which is something that I am seeking.
Can i enquire if the school will accept PV staying within 1 to 2km? What are the activities which the PV are supposed to perform?
There are 3 schools within 1km from home but Nan Chiau is too competitive even under Phase 2B.
Can anyone advise on the previous balloting history for the Phase 2B if any? Are the applications usually more than the available vacancies?
What will be the success rate for parents staying within 1km to 2km under the Phase 2B? -
Can anyone advise whether Rivervale primary still take in PV?

If you do PV , your chance is quite good for phase 2B (for the past yr stats that I had seen) The most take up rate is during phase 1 and phase 2C, thus 2B stands a very good chance.
of course NC is very crowded from 2B to 2C ( which I wonder why??? cos NC pri sch is not at all affliated to NC High sch)
So infact study in River vale pri or NC pri stands equal chance to go into NC high sch -both are non affliation to any secondary sch so must depends on PSLE results. AND both two schools are very academic drive. Very... cos my child really has a lot of hw to do and sch stretch the pupils a lot esp in the top classes. Pupils n parents must be willing to work hard to maintain the standard

Luckyme4va, great thing abt. Rivervale pri. they are very fair, all PV are guaranteed a place
and I was told by their admin. 2 yrs ago, so hope no changes since then... -

Mr Mah will be in Poi Ching Pri Sch , that's a good sch.
