I noticed the school gives out certificates for everything...must go and get a clear holder to put the certs.

Yes, it's a form of recognition and to enrich the student's porfolio.
The cert will come together with a clear folder file.

They also issue certs to trainee prefects, class leaders, buddy tutors etc...

i had the impression the selected pupils have to go through another round of selection by the prefectorial board…maybe i was wrong
