Hi,
Why only ask mummies?
Anyway, at 1.5 km, based on past history, chances are not good if you want to get in by proximity (You can check from their website), as Phase 2C (under 1km) had to go through balloting.
Assuming you're applying for your first born, ff you're an alumni, then it'll be much easier. Otherwise volunteering would be you next option, that one is also not 100% guarantee, but chances are good compared to Phase 2C.

Hi parents,
For those who has done PV in this sch, if I stay less than 1 km and do PV? Is it gurantee tat I will get into the sch? Do I still need ballotting under Phase 2B?
Thanks for the advise. -
Does anyone know when is Rosyth converting into single session? Or have you heard any news if Rosyth will be relocating to a different site?
Thanks. -
Hi
I would like to find out would i still consider as an old school gal if i was transfer to another school in P4?
Hope there is someone able to help me out on this?
Thanx -

Yes, as I read that a father who was transferred out of NYPS at P4 found his NYPS report card and enrolled his child in NYPS under Phase 2A2. You can call the school to confirm.Hi

Hi parents
Would like to find out the following pertaining to Rosyth:-
1) How do they do class placement for P1. Streaming or random or ?
2) If a child is weak in certain subject, how does the school support the learning? Remedial or own tutition or ?
Thanks. -

Hi, from what I understand, I think the school does not really encourage P1 or P2 students to sign up for CCA. But if parents have a strong interest for their child to be in a specific CCA, you can make arrangements to talk to the teacher-in-charge of the CCA to see if your child is eligible to join. It's a case by case basis.Hi,
Anyone can tell me when does CCA start for the children. I'm getting conflicting information, some say by P2 should have a CCA?
Thanks.
Cheers,

Hi serenejz, I'm was in the same situation as you last year. Well, let's put it this way, I won't say this is 100% guaranteed that your child would be accepted but one thing's for sure, you will definitely be in the priority list for the cohort of PVs. So your PV peers who are outside 1km would have more to worry than you. Also, I'm not so sure is if there is any difference in \"weightage\" between the different groups within phase 2B. Lastly, for the record, I don't think there was any balloting in the Rosyth's history in phase 2B (within 1km). Hope that helps to calm your nerves!Hi parents,

I don't think relocating is a possibility. Converting to a single session should be done by 2016 as stipulated by MOE.
