Hi Shugarhigh, its stated in the information booklet tt was given on orientation. Page 14. They tell u first 3days need to bring wat items for teacher to keep.
Other than that is just the daily items to bring everyday. -
did any parents tried the food from the canteen? my boy tried to buy a plate of fried rice which cost $1. The rice is cold, hard and chewy. i feel the quality of food at St gab is really bad. Previously we tried the pasta. the fries given is way too salty! i wonder how are the boys going to eat the food thereโฆ
Do u think we can feedback to the school? -

I guess can feedback to the school with regards to salty food or food standards. I know some schools even restrict sale of certain foods and drinks (fried foods/sweet drinks) to be on sale one day of the week only. -
i feel sgps food too expensive. my boy bought 3pcs of nuggets for $1. $0.90 for milo. seriously this is over priced for primary school. I checked with other schools and they dont sell so expensive. any parents here in psg? how do we go about to feedback these kind of issues?

Any parents here will older siblings studying in StGab?
Wanna know the bag load for p1
Looking at bags now, but looking at the books needed to bring to sch for teacher to keep, not sure if we need ergonomic bags or not.. Eyeing on one, super expensive
-
hmm but I donโt see it stated in the hand book if they are allowed to leave these books in school all the time? Hmmm, or eventually they will have to carry it up and down daily after the first week?
-
Will see how after a week of school then we'll decide if should really need an ergonomic bag.
At least 1kg for an ergonomic bag without books..
-
that's the thing with ergo bags... that's y i decided to go with a normal haversack first and see how it goes.

Hi all,
Hope all are well and in less than a month, our kids will be heading back to school and will be exciting for those who are joining the P1 cohort in 2016.
Everyone should have bought your books and stationaries, bags and shoes etc.
I like to share my own personal experience watching my DS in SGPS. I firmly believed this is a good school and definitely has fit my DS. He had enjoyed very much and over the years watching him grew and learning, building his self-confidence was relieving. Though there will be times when challenges sunk in or he may had faced difficulties in solving problems, those were just a part of the process of learning.
Give your utmost support and love in area of his interest. The school has many activities and good teachers that could render the assistance to our child. For those who entering P1, enjoy the moments of a new chapter for your boy. Its the beginning of a journey. Do not stress out but embrace the exciting times you will be facing soon. Let the nature takes it course while as parent, give the fullest support and encouragement in due course.
May the Lord continues to bless all of us and our children in SGPS.
Have a wonderful holiday as we march into 2016 with our children.
Cheers!
