Are the teachers in archers student care patient as my boy is hyperactive? From yangzheng need to take school bus to the student care right?

very sorry, few mths never check this thread.

yangzheng go to student care is only 1 min walk (which includes crossing a road right in front of the school gate). The teachers at the student care will bring the kids to school (for P1 and 2, which are afternoon sessions). No need bus, definitely.

how is YZ really doing in terms of academics when they are not really drilling for first 4yrs? wonder how they score for PSLE...coz the last few yrs their results were quite good...?

abit confusing...their method.wonder about the student background there too. not much rowdy kids?
Not sure, but outside school got banner to advertise that 2009 PSLE top student scored quite impressive. This year haven't gone to take a look...

I suspect they identify the good classes and focus on them from P3 onwards.

          belinda:

My eldest is there and the younger will also be in YZPS next year . Like to share that the modular CCA really benefit the kids, they got a chance to try different things, learning typing, dancing, painting, microsoft, swimming, chess/ scrabble.

In the begining, i am also worried about wed but soon realised that there is no problem for the kid cos she really enjoy the wed and look forward to it.
My girl came through P1 ok.

Just a point to note: if you think that one day a week (Wed) for morning session is disruptive, you will have more surprises:

One Thursday in I think Aug, one neighbour asked me (while waiting for sch dismissal) whether is it the next day is morning session? I was like huh.... so when i picked DD up from teacher, I checked and indeed it was true. DD told me later that it was written in the comm. booklet, which I didn't check. Next day, when DD went home, she told me 2 of her classmates went for classes at 11.40 am like every Fri. And that special day, they dismissed at 1.20 pm...

This 7.20 am to 1.20 pm afternoon sessions is the timing for P3-6 students. And the best part is that for the last week of school in early Nov, even the P1-2 students had full morning sessions. So that took a bit of arrangements and adjustments.

The school doesn't have enough space for single session yet in 2011, but they are moving in that direction, as mandated by MOE. I'm hoping that by 2012, when DS has to go in, they will change to single-session already.

Yes, I understand that the school will liaise with the school buses to ensure that they pick up and send students at the amended times when there are changes in the sessions.

It's usually the parents who send/pick up kids on their own that might be 'forgotten'.

Just got the following from YZPS website:

This year’s PSLE results saw 25(11%) of our P6 pupils scoring 250 and above. Out of the 25, 8 pupils managed to score 260 and above. Our top scorers taking Standard subjects are Deep Pandit (267), Esther Ng Ke Han (265), Li Lue (263) and Shermaine Loke Jia Qi (263). Our top pupil taking Foundation subjects is Nur Afiqah Bte Ahmad (164). Well done, Yangzhengnites!

Is this good for this year's standard?

Vtsa is right, there no problem for those taking the school bus cos the bus aunty always remind the parents when they pick up the kids. there are time that although I read the memo but forget to log down, the bus aunty always remind or the teacher also remind the kids on the school hours.
