Carebear77 - Did you receive my PM already? DS has EL creative writing (a follow on from previous phonics class), art class and swim class. He just finished his CL enrichment class yesterday, we are not continuing with the school coz the class timings for next year are not suitable. Going for a trial at another CL school in Jan before deciding if want to sign up. I may also consider to teach him on my own instead as I do not wish to pack him with additional classes as much as possible. How about your DS, is he taking any enrichment classes?

Cpdalin - The orientation handouts are at home. I will bring to office tomorrow and scan to send to you. Can you PM me your email address to send to you?

Btw, anyone signed up to volunteer during P1 recess on 1st week of school? I just received a call from PCS to assemble at meeting room at 2pm on 4 Jan for briefing. Just realized this school has no buddy system with older students for the new P1 students.

Hi parents,


I went through that same excitement (and fear) two years back. And it is good that parents keep each other in the loop which I am seeing it here.

The assessment during orientation is only the starting point. Kids have to continue with the routine effort - chinese was tough in my opinion in my DD’s first two years (she is getting into P3 next year). And now I am hearing new English programs on top of Stella. WOW!

sch bus operator just called me, they are picking up my kid ard 11.40am, thus will definitely be late (as adviced by the operator) for the 12pm extra eng prog… and they cant cater for any earlier time slot.

if i am not wrong, the extra lessons were mentioned during orientation and the principal did a poll on the spot to ask how many parents prefer school to start earlier compared to ending later. Most parents voted for school to start earlier so he said school will start at 12pm then. I should think school bus should align to this timing as well since all the students will start class at 12pm? Suggest you call PCS office to enquire regarding this?

i am not staying in Tampines but DS will be at student care near PCS in the AM so he will just need to leave earlier to walk to school.

checked with the school, wef 11th jan, sch will start at 12 and end at 6 daily. so i think the sch bus will be aligned with the sch.

I’ve received you PM. Will contact Via Sms as I’m not always online. I stopped all the enrichment classes since last month. My DS also learning swimming and he really enjoys it.
